FINALLY friday! met tinks in the early afternoon (supp to swing by her place in the morning for a 'surprise' however due to unforeseen circumstances AND unwillingness to undergo yet another ass flattening experience during the typical hour and a half bus ride on my part, did not.)


yup, was another day to commemorate BGL Day..! (stop commenting on my niu'er ness! >:c)


forced her to try the caesar salad (yummier than Spagheddies'!)
however Tastes and Preferences whisked her away from my side of the approval line
tsk!
oh, was such an Anorexic Day (attempt)
scaled the many miles of Ridesford and Orchard Boulevard and CityHall
albeit the rare consumption of only caesar salad and minestrone soup and bread! (amazement of our survival)
to abstain from being CC (chut chut -laughs), us worrywarts!
oh my, suddenly a vague scene of us being conned by Starbucks Promoter appears in my mind! we have, sad to say, naively upsized our Whip Creamed Green Teas to a Grande. why, the nerve of that conniving..! not so anorexic after all..

Young women today have an impossible task living up to impossible and unrealistic body ideas. Miss universe probably goes around the world doing good deeds, but what does that teach young girls? only beautiful girls can be humanitarians? only girls in bikini can achieve world peace?

Young women are spending inordinate amounts of money and time transforming themselves because they dont like the way they look. The gap between reality and perfection is unlikely to ever be closed. Thin is in, and always being thinner than your current weight is the goal of most singaporean women.

The world media has only a narrow, unhealthy and superficial idea of what beauty should be, or of who or what is deemed worthy.
